It was time for a celebration! The Hong Kong Shooting Star Award winner is


The Hong Kong Shooting Star Award has been given to Daniël van Dalen Design, the most distinctive young Dutch company in Hong Kong in a tradition of more than 20 years by the NHKBA and DutchCham in Hong Kong.


The challenges for starting companies in Hong Kong are countless, even in the best of years. This year has been especially challenging though.


The NHKBA and the DutchCham are very pleased to have found a start-up worthy of the Shooting Star Award in this arduous year.


Under the circumstances, a live award giving ceremony in the Netherlands was of course not possible. That is why the newly arrived Dutch Consul General in Hong Kong, Mr Arjen van den Berg, handed out the Shooting Star Award in Hong Kong during a webinar instead.


Before presenting the award and prize, Mr Van den Berg was introduced to the participants in an interview.
