Based on the specifications of companies, by means of hyper control and hyper monitoring (while the supply chain is happening) realizing more efficient processes and significant cost savings. Drs. Karoline Muijs-de Graaf RA RO is a “control” professional with more than 25 years of experience. She specializes in Operational risk management, Internal audit, Corporate & IT Governance and Compliance. Karoline is well informed about legislation and regulations and the requirements and developments that Supervisors impose on (financial) institutions, among others, in the areas of Governance, ESG, Internal Control, Risk Management, Fraud, Wwft, Privacy, Behavior, Culture and Integrity.

Karoline works/has worked for various leading companies, both nationally and internationally, including ESG lead for KPMG Governance Risk & Advisory Services, Ahold, Wolters Kluwer, Insurance (Aegon NL, Vivat, Conservatrix, Hooghenraed, Nuvema, Lifetri), Banks (ING, Rabo and ABN Amro), Asset Management (Actiam fund management, Aegon), Quion, Dirk van de Broek and BPF Bouwinvest.

Within her field of Operational Risk Management, she has various roles in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines and clear experience with extensive Risk systems and tools to document and monitor processes, risks and controls. Karoline has extensive experience with large central control (rationalization and improvement programs) for, among others, ING Lease, Aegon and ABN Amro.

Karoline has strong communication skills, enjoys presenting to groups and has published various articles in the field of ESG, (IT) Governance, Fraud Control and Risk Management to increase “risk” awareness. Karoline enjoys working with people/groups. As a teacher, she gave the mandatory fraud training for Registered Accountants in 2019 and was in the past associated with the Further Education for Registered Accountants for the IT Governance seminar and at the Arnhem University of Applied Sciences as a guest lecturer in IT Governance.
